Inside Folwen
Keep sharing a deliberate choice
Give family members clear spaces, roles, and audiences for what they share.
The everyday friction.
Being related does not mean every update should reach everyone. Families need room for household conversations, wider announcements, and changing responsibilities. When those choices are hidden inside one general group, people have to remember the boundaries themselves.
A different way through.
Folwen separates membership, household connections, and content audiences. Family Spaces can have multiple managers, while posts use explicit audience choices. The product principle is straightforward: a relationship helps describe the family, but it does not automatically create access to its content.
See the idea take shape.
Three moments in the experience. Explore the intended flow below.
- Set up members and managers
- Review household connections
- Choose an audience for each update
Know where you are sharing
Use the active Family Space and audience together to give an update a clear destination.
Share responsibility
Give a family more than one manager so the space need not depend on one account.
Respect different boundaries
Connect with relatives while continuing to make separate decisions about the content they can see.
The difference it can make.

Where it stands.
Good ideas deserve an honest description of where they are today.
Audience settings govern access to shared content, while private-message encryption is a separate feature.
